About the Lake:
This is a beautiful lake that is a haven for boaters and fisherman. If you are looking for a great place to spend the weekend and catch a lot of fish, this is certainly one of the best spots to try your luck.
The lake is incredibly popular, but we didn't find that it was terribly crowded. Once you arrive, it's easy to see why so many people make the trip. The quality of the fish was outstanding and it didn't take more than a few minutes to get our first nibble.
Everyone is very pleasant here and it's a great place to take the whole family for a great weekend getaway.
Is boating allowed?
Absolutely - in fact, this is one of the best places for boaters in California.
Is there a boat launch?
Yes, but there is a fee. Please see the fee list below for more information.
Is camping allowed?
Yes, the lake management allows for many different types of camping. We found the camp sites to be incredibly well maintained and there are also spots for RV camping as well.
What kind of fish will I find here?
You'll be able to find several different varieties of bass, the occasional trout as well as the usual crappie, bluegill and catfish. The lake management stocks the lake regularly so there is no worry about running out of great fish to catch.
Are there any regulations I need to know about?
Yes, if you are boating, you will need to have the proper license and registration for your boat. Fishing permits are also required and there is a limit to the amount of fish that you are allowed to take each day.
What other information do I need to know before I get there?
There are some fees to use the lake and the facilities. Lake management provided the following information:
