Services Available:
This is definitely a full service marina and everything under the sun that you could ever require can be found here. The chandlery is simply incredible and offers numerous repair services as well as preventative maintenance. They also offer special restoration services for aging boats.
What You Need to Know:
This is an incredibly historic marina that first opened in 1911. Since that time it has become one of the most popular marinas on the lake and the staff works hard to make sure that you are completely happy with your stay. The original family still runs the marina so the attention to quality that was first there in 1911 is still alive and strong. The prices are incredibly reasonable given the level of service and attention that customers receive.

SLIPS
Our harbor currently holds 38 slips. Sailboats are not allowed in these slips. If your boat has an offshore motor, we ask that you use a silencer for it as there are homes on the property.
Slips are rented for the season only. A $1200.00 deposit is required by May 10th and will be applied toward the slip rental rate. Once you are renting a slip, we will offer it to you again the following summer before offering it to anyone on the waiting list.

Average Water Depth: The average depth here is around 9 feet. While it is not often that it changes, we still recommend checking ahead before you arrive.
Marine Standby Channel: Yes, the marina monitors Channel 69 and they are also reachable by phone if you cannot get them by radio.

Not at this location, but there are a few located nearby if you do require this service. The harbormaster will be able to provide recommendations.

Not on site, but again, you can find others in the near vicinity. Please ask the harbormaster for directions.
Services provided:
This is a full service marina in the truest sense of the word. You’ll find restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, phone service and internet, and electric security gates. While there is no official pumpout station, if you’re willing to do it yourself, there are hydrants available for individual use. The onsite Pizza Nova restaurant is quite popular and well worth the trip.
Are any guest facilities provided?
Yes, guests can access both the docks and slips and electrical services are provided. There are fees for guest access and at times, this marina can be quite crowded. We recommend checking for spaces before you arrive.
What You Need to Know:
This is a great marina that offers a lot of different features and the staff here is incredibly helpful. For frequent travelers, we recommend their mailbox service which is very handy. In addition, this marina is one that really goes the extra mile, both for guests and liveaboards. We highly recommend this marina.

Live-aboard charges are based on any stay beyond three nights a week up to ten days a month. Additional cost is per month, per person.

A limited amount of live-aboards are allowed due to Port standards (ten percent of slip capacity).
All liveaboards must be eighteen years of age or older. The maximum on any one vessel is two live-aboards.

This is a very full service marina that has everything you could possibly need in one location. Restrooms, showers and laundry facilities are all onsite and they also offer ice. While there is no restaurant on site, there are several high quality restaurants within easy walking distance. In addition, there are also numerous stores that are located right near the marina. The currently have 885 slips that can accommodate boats up to 72 feet in length.

Yes, guests can access both the docks and slips and electric service is provided. There is a waitlist at times and it’s best to call ahead before you arrive to make sure they’ll have enough space for you.
What You Need to Know:
We highly recommend this marina due to the amount of services they provide and their incredibly friendly and helpful staff. If you don’t like having to stop at a bunch of different marinas along the way for pumpouts or fuel, this is the perfect location to dock. They are incredibly popular however and they do have a wait list. Openings do come available from time to time, so it’s best to get on the list to increase your chances of getting in.

There are 101 slips at this location, but there is a waiting list. It is best to get on as quickly as possible since this a very popular marina. There may be a fee, but it is well worth it since slips do open up on a frequent basis.
The company that manages this harbor also manages several others in the area. They are well known for their attention to every conceivable detail and their commitment to service. If you are looking for a true full service marina that handles everything, this is the perfect spot.
The berths are well located and easy access is provided for parking. This is a marina that was really designed with boat owners in mind and although space is limited, that contributes to the ease in which you can move through the channel.

Marina Facilities:
This is a full service marina with a snack shop, restrooms and showers. It is a favorite among boaters who need to get off the river for lunch or if they have family along that would like to sight see. The staff is very friendly here and you should have no problem finding what you need.
The marina offers a pump out station and fuel dock with diesel and regular gasoline on hand. The slips are supplied with electricity and water and there is enough space for most visitors to be able to find a free slip. However, it is best to call ahead just in case.

What kind of fishing will I find here?
There are sturgeon, salmon and bass as well as the occasional catfish. Please keep in mind that you will need to have a California fishing license if you plan to fish here.
Interesting facts: Only three families have ever owned this marina and they take pride in their level of service. The current family has been running the marina for the past 30 years and it is truly a family operation.The staff is incredibly helpful and overall, this is definitely one of the nicest marinas in the area. This is a very quiet location and it is a favorite among boaters looking to just get away for the day or a weekend. The marina is home to numerous events throughout the year, but it is still not overrun.
If you prefer not to take your own vessel with you, the staff supplies rentals as well as sales. Their house boat tours are very popular as well. The marina also offers a yacht brokerage with the following services:

What kind of fish will I find here?
Sturgeon are by far the most popular, but many boaters come to this area for the catfish. If you can’t catch a catfish here, there must be something wrong with your bait. Please keep in mind that normal state regulations are in place for fishing here. All boats must be operated under state and federal laws and you must have a fishing license before you can fish here.
What else do I need to know?
Although there is no fuel dock, there are restrooms at this location. No showers are provided however. If you need a pump out station, you will have to find another marina in the area, and there are several. This is more of a day-use marina for if you want to picnic or if you just plan to stay for a quick night. It’s a friendly place though and the staff is quite helpful.

FROM SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
Go north on HWY 80 To HWY 12 EAST.
Take HWY 12 To Rio Vista
In Rio Vista, just before crossing the bridge, turn right and follow the signs to Ryer Island. (Go under the bridge and drive along the river)
Follow the signs to the Real McCoy Ferry. Take the ferry to Ryer Island and turn left off the ferry. Stay on this road, HWY 84, till you get to the Minor Slough bridge.
Cross the bridge and turn left and stay straight on the levee road to ARROWHEAD HARBOR .(Do not turn down into the valley at the bridge)

About the Lake:
Los Vaqueros Reservoir is a great place for a boating outing and it features some of the best fishing in the area. Over 100,000 acre feet of water are stored here and the entire complex is over 19,300 acres. This is a great place to take the family, but there are some rules due to the fact that the water may be used for human consumption. We’ve detailed these rules for you below.
In addition to boating, there are 55 miles of hiking trails through the entire complex and many people find that this is a very relaxing way to spend a weekend.

What You Need to Know:
Since this is a back up water source for human consumption, swimming and other sports that cause the human body to come into contact with the lake’s water are not allowed. Dogs are not allowed on the lake for any reason. Although smoking is allowed, it is limited to designated areas. You may not bring or consume any alcoholic beverages at the reservoir.

From Central or Eastern Contra Costa County:
Take Hwy 4 East, Take Hillcrest Ave exit. Go right, veer left, to stay on Hillcrest, go about 3 miles. Make left onto Lone Tree Way. Make right onto Fairview, Make left onto Balfour. Make right onto Walnut. Drive about 7 miles into the Los Vaqueros watershed.
OR
Take Highway 4 East, go through Oakley and Brentwood. In downtown Brentwood, go right on Oak, cross the railroad tracks, go left onto Walnut. Drive about 7 miles into the Los Vaqueros watershed.
From the Pleasanton/Livermore Area
On Highway 580, take the Vasco Road exit to Brentwood, follow that for about 14 miles. Go left onto Camino Diablo. Go left onto Walnut, follow that into the Los Vaqueros watershed.

About the Lake:
San Pablo Lake is a terrific place to relax on your boat and enjoy some great fishing. Although swimming is not allowed, this is considered a great destination for picnicking and enjoying nature. The lake is very family friendly and the costs are reasonably low. With 866 surface acres and 14 miles of shoreline, there is more than enough space to enjoy a peaceful trip. The lake is pretty popular, but overcrowing has not been an issue.
The lake recently opened up to more types of boats, including two stroke engines, which has given boaters a lot more opportunities to enjoy the lake. The bait shop is very nicely stocked and the amenities are top notch.
Boat Launches:
3 lane launch ramp.
No 2-cycle engines, dry stack jet boats, water skies, personal watercraft (jet skis) or windsurfers.
25 MPH speed limit.
Electric motors only in preserve area.
All motor boats must be registered.
Minimum width is 23 1/2 inches on all types of boats.
Minimum length for sailboats, skiffs and inflatables is 7 feet 10 inches.
Minimum length for kayaks and canoes is 10 feet

The lake is open on the following schedule:
Open annually mid February through October. Main recreation building and marina open from sunrise to one half-hour before sunset. Gates open at 6:00 am March - August and at 6:30 am September - October and February. Park closes: 6:00 pm (PST) October, 5:00 pm February, 5:30 pm in March, 6:00 pm April (PST) and October, 7:00 pm April (DST) and September, 7:30 pm May and August, 8:00 pm June - July. Rental boats must be returned one hour before closing.
