About the Lake:

Don Pedro Lake is a lake that is rich in history. It is not crowded and it's location makes it perfect for a quick getaway. With more than 500 campsites, two full service marinas and incredible fishing, it won't be too much longer before this lake gets crowded. It's a good idea to reserve your campsite ahead of time, and you can do this up to one year in advance.

The lake covers 13,000 surface acres and features 160 miles of shoreline.

Boating Restrictions:

What kind of fish can be found at the lake? Trout fishing is particularly good here, and you will also find bass, catfish and crappie.

Are there any regulations on fishing? Yes, according to lake management:

Trout & salmon: Open season all year. Limit: five

Bass: Open season all year. Limit: five bass. Minimum length: twelve inches.

Catfish: Open season all year. Limit: twenty (except Bullheads no limit.)

Crappie: Open season all year. Limit: twenty-five

Other species: Other species of fish may be taken in any number and at any time of the year by angling.

Special Notes:

 Although dogs are allowed in some locations, please note that they may not enter developed areas. There are restrictions for camping, including no ground fires and special caution must be exercised if using barbecues. In boat camping is allowed at most locations around the lake.

Please note that the water levels at this lake may change. Hazards are frequent, so please exercise caution while boating.
