This is a very unique and quite informative series of DVD instructional videos. All of the expert videos compiled in this video are from a few decades ago. Even back when these videos were originally filmed, they were a bit outdated for their time, but that does not make them any less informative or any less interesting. British fishing, like what is outlined in these videos, is a lot different from the type of fishing that most American citizens are used to. They use techniques and equipment that are completely unique to what we are used to, and they go after fish that are not commonly sought after in the United States, which means that these videos are providing a completely unique take on fishing if you are from the United States.

In this DVD box set you will find several different episodes devoted to long pole fishing and short pole fishing. These are similar to fly fishing but are more extreme but popular in British fishermen. Long and short pole fishing involves 30' lightweight poles that don't have reels. This method of fishing can catch 100lb fish in single sittings. They also administer advanced techniques for chumming that draw fish closer into range, keeping them eating even as you continue to catch them. You will also find plenty of information relating to long distance fishing, which is ideal for carp and for pike. They demonstrate some truly useful casting techniques that can be applied for a variety of different fishing styles including surf fishing and cat fishing. Unlike many other shows, this television show is designed to be something of an instructional video offering plenty of techniques that you can pick up quickly and begin using right away if you want to improve your techniques.
