About the Lake:
With fish weighing in at around 5 pounds each, this is one of the most popular lakes in California. This is the second largest natural lake that can be found in California and offers a wide variety of different kinds of scenery and fun for the whole family. Please note that the lake is only open from Memorial Day to December 31st.

Boating Restrictions:
All California boating laws are enforced at the lake.
What kind of fish can be found at the lake? The very special Eagle Lake trout, which can be up to 18 inches in length are found here as well as many other types of fish.
Are there any regulations on fishing? Yes, according to lake officials:
Eagle Lake Trout - Open season: Saturday preceding Memorial Day through Dec. 31. Limit: 2 per day 4 in possesion.
Inside the breakwaters at Eagle Lake Marina, Pine Creek and Pine Creek Slough below Lassen County Road 518 bridge: Closed to all fishing all year.
Fishing hours: One hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.
Use of minnows is strictly prohibited and subject to citation.
Special Notes: Please note that if you do bring a dog, it must be on a 6 foot leash at all times. The lake does observe "quiet time" between 10pm and 6am. There is a stay limit of 14 days and campfires may not be left unattended. Please note that there is a designated parking area for boats and trailers.
