Galaxie Boat Works was essentially founded in 1968, which is when the company's founder, Don Dacus, began to implement his dreams and visions of what true watercraft meant into his company. Galaxie Boat Woks, Inc. was founded to be a progressive, family owned boat making company. Even today, forty years later, Galaxie Boat works continues to embrace an ideology centering on perfectionism when it comes both to the design and construction of the watercraft that they create. Their commitment to quality is what has allowed them to withstand the test of time along with the trials of use on the windy and rough lakes, the stumpy lakes and the vast open waters across the country.
Galaxie Boat Works is an NMMA certified builder, meaning that they are producing watercraft products that exceed the safety specifications that are designed and enforced by the United States Coast Guard. Their above and beyond the call of duty approach to excellence when it comes to boat making is what has allowed their company to continue flourishing so many years after its inception.
