- Category and Difficulty: This is a very easy 3.2 mile walk. Both the trail and the beach are completely flat, and the only surfaces you'll walk are sand and pavement.
- Exposure: This trail is totally exposed to the sun with no places for you to experience shade.
- Traffic: The traffic on this trail is light to moderate.
- Trail Surface: There are two types of trail surfaces that you will experience, hard pavement and soft sandy beach.
- Walk Time: The total walk time for this trail is approximately 1 hour.
- Season: This particular trail is nice all throughout the year regardless of the season.
- Trailhead Coordinates: This trailhead is located at 37°45'48.60"N Latitude // 122°16'20.35"W Longitude.
Amenities: Along Webster, which is a street that runs parallel along Constitution Way, you can find gas, restaurants and stores. There is also a shopping center that can be found along Shoreline Drive. There are no camping accommodations available here.
Rules: The beach is open between 5 o'clock am and 10 o'clock pm unless something is posted that states otherwise. Dogs are permitted on this trail when they are on a leash, but dogs are not permitted along the beach.
Fees: There is a $5 entrance fee for this trailhead. When the kiosk is not currently attended, there is no fee. There is also a $2 fee for dogs. Parking is free.
Map: The best map for this trailhead is the AAA "San Francisco Bay Region" map.
Accommodations: There is plenty of parking to be found in a series of parking lots which are paved. There are pit toilets, places for drinking water and also pay phones that can be found along the beach as well as in the park. There are parking spots that are designated for handicapped visitors to the park. Some of the pit toilets are accessible by wheelchair as well. There is also a flat and paved trail that is more than suitable for people in wheelchairs.
Public Transportation: The beach, but not the trailhead, is definitely accessible by way of public transportation.
How to Get There: From Alameda County and Interstate 880, you should be exiting at Broadway and Alameda at exit 42 and then follow the signs toward the Webster Tunnel. When you arrive above ground once more, stay to the left and merge onto Constitution Way, which will change to 8th street upon reaching Lincoln Avenue. Now proceed along 8th street until you reach Otis way and then the park entrance is on the right. Once you pass the entrance kiosk you can continue to the parking spots at the end.
