History of the Lake:

This is a gorgeous lake in Southern California that features incredibly clean water and plenty of outdoor activities. Although you have to be careful since the water is used as a water supply, that doesn't mean you can't have fun while you are here. We found this lake to have the absolute best fishing in the area.

Is Boating Allowed?

Absolutely. This is a terrific place for boaters, especially if you would like to get a little fishing in as well. The marina is incredibly well stocked and you can even store your boat here year round if you would like. We found the fees to be very reasonable and the staff was very helpful.

Is there a launch ramp?

Yes, the marina has one, but there is a day use fee.

Is camping allowed?

Yes, there are numerous campsites around the lake. You must reserve your site ahead of time, and there is a small fee for use. We found the campgrounds to be very well maintained.

What kind of fish will I find here?

This is a great lake for bass, crappie, catfish and a great selection of trout.

Are there any regulations I need to know about?

Yes, if you will be boating, you must have a valid California license. Basic fishing regulations are adhered to at this lake, and you must have your current fishing license with you.

What else do I need to know?

The fish here are stupendous! The record catfish weighed over 32 pounds, and we have not seen trout this size in many other lakes. This is a great lake for the whole family and there are plenty of things for everyone to see and do while they are here.
