About the Lake:
Lake Collins is a beautiful lake located in the Sierra foothills. It is home to numerous different kinds of fish as well as wildlife. This is truly a tranquil location that is a favorite among many boaters. Fishing is available year round and in order to keep the lake quiet, waterskiing is limited to summer months only and in designated areas away from fishers.
The lake management plants trout up to seven pounds in size every spring and the fishing is particularly good. Numerous varieties of bass and trout are located in the lake, including Alabama spotted and Florida large mouth bass.
The shoreline stretches for 12 miles and the full service camping site makes it fun to spend a weekend or even a whole week on the lake. The entire surface area of the lake is around 1000 acres, so there is plenty of room for quiet fishing.
