What you need to know:
This is a unique harbor that allows you to build your own mooring. Although there is a lot of expense involved, once you have your own mooring, you won't have to worry about many additional fees. If you live in the area or you are a frequent visitor, this is a great solution. However, the guest facilities are very cheap and well cared for. The nearby boatyard is great for those who may need repair while they stay at the harbor.
This is a very historic area and the first wharf was built in the mid 1800's. If you are planning a family vacation, this is the perfect location to combine a great history lesson with some fun on the water.
What kind of services are offered?
There is a nice little mini mart on site, and restaurants are close by. Showers and restrooms are provided on site but there are no laundry facilities at this time. The nearest grocery store is some distance away.
