Amenities: There are no amenities in the area.
Rules: Both hikers and equestrians are permitted to use the Crystal Springs Trail. The water temple trail is only permitted to hikers at this time. Dogs are not allowed on either trail.
Fees: There are no parking or entrance fees at this trailhead.
Map: A good map for getting to this region is the AAA San Francisco Bay Region map.
Accommodations: At the water temple you will find two different handicapped designated parking spots, and additional parking is provided in a nearby paved lot. Access is only provided on Monday through Friday as the water temple is not open during weekends. Cañada Road is closed from 9am until 4pm between Edgewood and the CA 92 except for during foul weather, winter and holidays. There are two wheelchair accessible toilets that are located in the parking lot's southern section. There is a 30 minute signed limit in this parking lot. There is parking for approximately 20 vehicles between Cañada and Edgewood. No maps are available, no restrooms are available and this area can get crowded during weekends.
Public Transportation: There is no public transportation available at or near this trailhead.
How to Get There: If you take the Interstate 280 from San Mateo County, you can take the #29 exit which is Edgewood Road. Then drive westbound until you reach the Cañada Road junction and take a right turn so that you are heading north. Drive for another 1.5 miles and then you can turn left right into the parking lot for the trailhead.
Another option is to hike to the temple, which means parking at the junction between Cañada Road and Edgewood.
