San Bruno Mountain Park

Amenities: Gas, restaurants and stores can be found at Bayshore and Mission. No camping provisions are provided at this trailhead.

Rules: Bikes are permitted on some of the trails. Hikers and horses share the rest of the trails. No dogs are allowed on any of the trails here.

Fees: The entrance fee is $5 for the parking area at this trailhead, and self registration is required if there is no one staffing the kiosk at the entrance to the trailhead.

Map: A good map for getting to this region is the AAA San Francisco Bay Region map.

Accommodations: There are three designated spots for handicapped drivers, and plenty of parking for all drivers. There are restrooms near to the picnic area which is just north from the parking lot. Maps are available at the kiosk at the entrance. There is a payphone present in the parking lot as well.

Public Transportation: There is no public transportation that will bring you directly to this trailhead.

How to Get There: From the US Highway 101 beginning in San Francisco County, you are going to want to take the Third Street and Cow Palace exit, which is exit #429 B. Drive southbound on Bayshore until you reach the junction to Guadalupe Canyon Parkway, and then take a right. Now you are going to want to drive uphill for approximately 2 miles until you reach the park entrance, which is going to be on the rightmost side of the road.

If you are coming from the Interstate 280 which is located in San Mateo County, then you are going to want to take the Mission Street exit, which is exit #50. You are going to want to take Market until you reach Guadalupe Canyon Parkway, and then drive eastbound until you each the park entrance, which is going to be on the leftmost side of the road there.
