<li><strong>Location:</strong> This walk is located in San Mateo County in the Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve.</li>
<li><strong>Distance:</strong> The total distance for this loop hike is only ½ mile.</li>
<li><strong>Category and Difficulty:</strong> This is a half mile loop hike on a flat dirt trail, and so it is categorized as being very easy.</li>
<li><strong>Exposure:</strong> The exposure for this trail is mostly sun exposed with very little opportunity for shade.</li>
<li><strong>Traffic:</strong> The traffic for this particular trail is light to moderate.</li>
<li><strong>Trail Surface: </strong>The trail surface for this walk is a flat dirt trail surface.</li>
<li><strong>Walk Time:</strong> The average walk time for this trail is one hour or less.</li>
<li><strong>Season:</strong> This trail is nice to enjoy all throughout the year and during any season.</li>
<li><strong>Trailhead Coordinates:</strong> This trailhead can be found at 37°18'54.91"N Latitude and 122°11'17.46"W Longitude.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Amenities:</strong> You can find pay phones, gas and restaurants as well as stores when you reach the junction between the 35 and the 84, which is approximately 7.5 miles to the north of the trailhead. No camping provisions are provided at this trailhead.</p>
<p><strong>Rules:</strong> Most of the trails here are considered to be multi-use in nature. A few of the trails are designated as being hiking only trails. There are no dogs allowed on any of the trails here. The park is open from dawn until half an hour following sunset.</p>
<p><strong>Fees:</strong> There is no parking or entrance fees for this trailhead.</p>
<p><strong>Map:</strong> A good map for getting to this region is the AAA San Francisco Bay Region map.</p>
<p><strong>Accommodations: </strong>There are two designated handicapped spots for parking, and plenty of parking for other vehicles in a lot that is flat and covered in gravel. There are maps available throughout numerous information sign boards. There is a pit toilet available at the edge of the parking lot, and there is a wheelchair accessible pit toilet that can be found off of the trail near Alpine Pond.</p>
<p><strong>Public Transportation:</strong> There is no public transportation that will bring you directly to this trailhead.</p>
<p><strong>How to Get There:</strong> From the Interstate 280, which is in San Mateo County, you are going to want to take the CA 84 and Woodside Road exit, which is exit #20. You should continue to drive west for approximately six miles until you reach the CA 35 Junction, which is Skyline Blvd. Now turn left, southbound, onto Skyline Boulevard here. Now you should continue driving for approximately 7.5 miles until you reach the Page Mill and Alpine Road junction. Turn right to reach Alpine Road, and then turn right almost immediately in order to enter the parking lot for the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve.</p>

<li><strong>Exposure:</strong> The exposure on this particular trail is almost completely sunny, with only the occasional pocket of shade.</li>
<li><strong>Traffic:</strong> The traffic on this particular trail is generally light to moderate on most days.</li>
<li><strong>Trail Surface: </strong>The trail surface here is completely comprised of flat dirt.</li>
<li><strong>Walk Time:</strong> The average walk time for this hike is less than half an hour.</li>
<li><strong>Season:</strong> This particular trail is nice all throughout the year. Make sure to dress appropriately in the summer months.</li>
<li><strong>Trailhead Coordinates:</strong> This trailhead can be found at 37°18'35.03"N Latitude and 122°10'33.81"W Longitude.</li>

<p><strong>Amenities:</strong> You can find pay phones, restaurants, stores and gas when you travel back to the junction between CA 84 and CA 35, which is about 8.5 miles northbound from the trailhead. Unfortunately, there is no camping allowed at this trailhead or the preserve surrounding it.</p>
<p><strong>Rules: </strong>Most of the trails in this area are designated as being multi use. Some of them are designated as being for hiking only. No dogs are allowed on these trails.</p>
<p><strong>Fees: </strong>There are no parking fees or entrance fees for this particular trailhead.</p>
<p><strong>Map:</strong> A good map for getting to this region is the AAA San Francisco Bay Region map.</p>
<p><strong>Accommodations:</strong> There are five different parking spots that are designated for handicapped drivers located in the gravel lot. There is a pit toilet on site that is wheelchair accessible as well. There are no maps available in the parking lot, but there is a signboard providing information and maps when you reach the northern parking lot.</p>
<p><strong>Public Transportation:</strong> There is no public transportation that comes directly to this preserve.</p>
<p><strong>How to Get There:</strong> You are going to want to begin on the Interstate 280, coming from Santa Clara County, and you are going to want to take exit no. 20, which is Page mill Road. Now drive west until you reach the junction with CA 35, Skyline Junction. Turn left, facing south when you reach Skyline Boulevard. Now drive for approximately one mile until you reach the preserve entrance, which will be on the rightmost or western side of the road. Now turn right into the primary parking, or make the first left if you are looking for the handicapped designated lot.</p>
