<li><strong>Summary: </strong>This is a 2.7 mile hike that goes out and back in a loop and takes you through the marsh lands along the edge of East Palo Alto.</li>
<li><strong>Location:</strong> This hike is located at Ravenswood Open Space Preserve, located in San Mateo County</li>
<li><strong>Distance:</strong> The entire distance for this walk is 2.7 miles, taking you out and back in a loop.</li>
<li><strong>Category and Difficulty:</strong> This particular hike can be categorized as being extremely easy, as you travel on a perfectly flat trail.</li>
<li><strong>Exposure:</strong> The exposure for this particular trail is very sun heavy with very few pockets of shade.</li>
<li><strong>Traffic:</strong> The traffic on this trail is generally light to moderate.</li>
<li><strong>Trail Surface:</strong> The trail surfaces here are wide and mostly dirt.</li>
<li><strong>Walk Time: </strong>The average walk time for this particular trail is one hour or less.</li>
<li><strong>Season:</strong> This trailhead is nice at any time during the year, and during any season.</li>
<li><strong>Trailhead Coordinates: </strong>This trailhead can be found at 37Â°28'33.07"N Latitude and 122Â° 7'26.81"W Longitude.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Amenities:</strong> You will find pay phones, gas, restaurants and stores along University. There is no camping permitted at this trailhead.</p>
<p><strong>Rules: </strong>The preserve here is open between dawn and a half hour after dusk. Neither dogs nor horses are allowed on these trails which are designated as being multi use.</p>
<p><strong>Fees:</strong> There are no parking or entrance fees at this trailhead.</p>
<p><strong>Map:</strong> A good map for getting to this region is the AAA San Francisco Bay Region map.</p>
<p><strong>Accommodations:</strong> There is enough parking for approximately 12 vehicles located in a dirt lot, and there is one handicapped spot designated here. The trail is accessible by wheelchairs but it can be overgrown in some places. You will be able to pick up a map at the information signboard. There is no drinking water present at this trailhead, and only one portable toilet which can be found at the side of Bay Road.</p>
<p><strong>Public Transportation:</strong> No public transportation is available to take you to this trailhead. There is a bus stop nearby but the walk to the trailhead is not perceived to be a very safe trip.</p>
<p><strong>How to Get There:</strong> From the US 101 located in San Mateo County you are going to want to take the #403 exit which is University Avenue. Drive toward the north east on University for approximately 1 mile and then turn right when you reach Bay Road. Drive for an additional 0.6 miles along Bay Road until you pass through the preserve gate, and then you should only have to continue for approximately 0.2 miles more before you reach the trailhead which will be located on the leftmost side of the road.</p>
