There is so much to do and see in San Francisco that there is no way for you to do it all in a day. Here are some of the top things that you should absolutely do and see while you are visiting in San Francisco. China Town seems to express what Western architects in the 20th century thought that Chinese buildings should appear like. There is a lot here that is created to cater to the San Francisco tourist, but there is also plenty of real china town in the shops and alleys of this place. If you are willing to explore both, there is a lot to find here.
Lombard Street is known as being the "crookedest street", but it is neither the steepest nor the crookedest street in the city of San Francisco. It is still one of the best known streets in the entire city, however. There is a crooked section that is just below Hyde Street. If you do not have a car that you can use to drive down the street then you should take the cable car down to Hyde and Lombard and then walk down.
The Coit Tower in San Francisco offers gorgeous panoramic views of the bay as well as the city from the very top of Telegraph Hill. In the murals at Coit Tower you will be able to take in some of the history of San Francisco from the 1930s while you are there.
There really are a wide variety of different things that you can do while you are visiting the city of San Francisco besides just what we have mentioned here.
